MANTIS Named Winner at the Irish Construction Excellence Awards 2026

On 28 May 2026, MANTIS was named the winner in the Construction Product Innovation – Digital/SaaS category at the Irish Construction Excellence Awards, at the Convention Centre Dublin.

The award was accepted on the night by Simplicity Group, MANTIS's partner in Ireland, who deliver RECON to construction fleet operators across the country. It is a recognition that sits in a sector where the consequences of fleet risk are not abstract. Construction sites are complex, high-pressure environments. Vehicles are large, movements are frequent, and the margin for error is small. When incidents happen, they are costly, sometimes catastrophic, and often disputed.

That is the problem RECON was built to address.

What the Irish Construction Excellence Awards recognise

The Irish Construction Excellence Awards (ICE Awards) are one of Ireland's most respected industry accolades, acknowledging outstanding innovation, performance and impact across the construction sector. The Construction Product Innovation – Digital/SaaS category specifically recognises technology that is changing how the industry operates, not in theory but in practice, on the ground and at scale.

For MANTIS to win in this category reflects not just what the technology does, but the results it is generating for construction fleets in Ireland.

How RECON works for construction fleets

RECON is a multi-camera, in-vehicle system that combines collision prevention hardware with fleet risk intelligence software. It gives fleet operators real-time visibility of driver behaviour, alerts drivers to hazards before incidents occur, and provides a complete record of what happened when they do.

For construction fleet managers, that translates into three things: evidence to protect drivers and the business when incidents are disputed, the data to identify and address risk before it becomes a claim, and the intelligence insurers need to accurately assess and price the fleet.

The system is delivered in Ireland through Simplicity Group, whose team manages installation, integration with existing telematics platforms, and ongoing support for fleet operators.

Collecting the award

Justin Stronge from Simplicity Group represented the partnership at the awards ceremony in Dublin.

"Construction fleets in Ireland operate in some of the most demanding conditions there are. Our customers need to know that when an incident happens, they have the evidence to protect their drivers and their business. MANTIS RECON gives them that, and this award is a reflection of the real difference it is making on the ground."

Why this matters for Ireland's construction sector

Ireland's construction industry is at a period of sustained activity. Infrastructure investment is significant, project pipelines are long, and fleets are under pressure. That pressure creates risk: more vehicles, more movements, more exposure. The question for fleet operators is not whether incidents will happen but whether they are prepared when they do.

The ICE Awards recognise technology that is helping the industry meet that challenge. MANTIS's win in the Digital/SaaS category is recognition that fleet risk intelligence is not a peripheral consideration for construction. It is central to how well-run fleets operate.
