Zero Margin for Error: Bradford Swissport Runs Mantis RECON Across US Airport Operations
Airport logistics is one of the most demanding fleet environments in the United States. Vehicles operate in high-density airside and terminal zones alongside ground support equipment, aircraft, and foot traffic. Shift patterns are relentless. And when something goes wrong, a near-miss, a collision, a disputed third-party claim, the ability to produce clear, accurate evidence isn't optional. In that environment, fleet risk intelligence is a core operational requirement.
That is the environment Bradford Swissport operates in every day at two of the country's major hub airports. And it is the environment where RECON has been running for the past 18 months.
About Bradford Swissport
Bradford Swissport brings together Bradford Airport Logistics and Swissport International to provide consolidated receiving and distribution services within airport terminals. Operating across some of the busiest hub airports in the US, the business manages high-volume materials handling where safety, precision, and accountability are fundamental to every shift.

The Deployment
In late 2024, MANTIS partner SmartFits installed twelve RECON 8-camera systems across Bradford Swissport's fleet vehicles at Orlando International Airport and Detroit Metropolitan Airport. The project extended an earlier collaboration at London Heathrow, scaling the partnership into the US market and across two high-traffic airports simultaneously.
SmartFits' engineering team completed full vehicle assessments before configuring each system to the specific demands of airport logistics operations, covering installation, end-to-end testing, and staff training to ensure Bradford Swissport's team was operational from day one.

What RECON Delivers in This Environment
Airport fleet vehicles carry a distinctive risk profile. They work within tightly regulated operational zones where liability exposure is real, incident response is fast, and the consequences of a disputed claim can extend well beyond the immediate cost of the incident itself.
RECON's multi-camera architecture covers each vehicle interior and exterior, giving Bradford Swissport complete visibility of its fleet in real time and on review. When incidents occur, fleet managers can establish exactly what happened using timestamped footage rather than relying on driver recall or third-party accounts. That same footage supports driver risk scoring, targeted coaching, and a documented safety record that stands up whether it is reviewed internally or by an insurer.
Twelve vehicles across two major airports now operate with that level of visibility as standard. Incidents are reviewed accurately and quickly. Driver risk is tracked consistently. And Bradford Swissport has a clear evidentiary record across its US fleet operations, which matters in an environment where accountability is not a matter of preference.
What Bradford Swissport Said
"We worked with MANTIS to install their multi-cam system on trucks in our fleet. Great communication and teamwork on getting this project executed. The team was very responsive and proactive to our feedback and worked with us throughout the process to ensure we were satisfied with the end product. We look forward to continued future partnerships with MANTIS."

A Growing US Presence
The Bradford Swissport deployment has now been running continuously across two major US airports for over 18 months, and the partnership is set to continue. For MANTIS, it demonstrates what RECON delivers when placed in one of the most operationally intensive fleet environments in the country, and reflects the direction of the business as it builds its presence across the US market.
For fleet operators in airport logistics, ground services, or any high-density vehicle environment where safety and accountability intersect, it is a reference point worth considering.
